Ystad Company Anolytech Expands with New Shareholder and More Employees
Anolytech broadens its ownership base with a new minority shareholder in the form of publicly traded Latour. The new shareholder brings an extensive industrial network, experience in internationalization and commercialization, and capital to support the continued expansion of the business. As a direct consequence of the ownership change, Anolytech is growing with five new employees while increasing its efforts in the Norwegian market.
Interest in Anolytech’s environmentally friendly water disinfection system is growing alongside interest in the UN’s Agenda 2030 with global goals for sustainable development. To be able to expand and meet the demand, the company is broadening its ownership base through a directed new share issue, in which Latour Future Solutions AB, a subsidiary of Investment AB Latour, becomes a minority shareholder.
“With Latour as a long-term partner, we have the opportunity to continue growing internationally while strengthening our established position in sustainable disinfection solutions,” says Stefan Fischlein, founder of Anolytech.
“We are now significantly increasing our workforce to meet the demand for our system. Last week, we introduced four new Swedish and one Norwegian employee who, together with a new partner, will strengthen our presence in the Swedish and Norwegian markets. Additionally, we expect to recruit two more people before the end of the year,” says Sandra Lindström, CEO of Anolytech.
“One of our investment areas is solutions for sustainable water access. Anolytech offers a bio-based circular system that effectively prevents the spread of unwanted bacteria or viruses through water,” says Pelle Mattisson, CEO of Latour Future Solutions.
When Swedish Anolytech presented a new and more environmentally friendly way to disinfect water without chemicals in 2005, many were skeptical. Seventeen years later, the company’s equipment daily produces a unique pH-optimized hypochlorous acid from water, salt, and electricity that kills bacteria, viruses, mold, fungi, and spores through environmentally friendly disinfection of water, hands, and surfaces for European customers in various industries. The production of the disinfectant takes place on-site in a circular system.

The company’s system is offered as a packaged service to customers in industrial and food production, agriculture and animal husbandry, hotels and real estate, and health care. Customers are found throughout the Nordic region, as well as in Germany and Spain. The business was founded in 2005 and is headquartered in Ystad with 17 employees.
